2018-06-18Corniea, Susan E. Age 64, of Mpls., passed away June 18, 2018 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Jim Corniea. Susan was born in Mpls. to Ellabelle (Winburn) & Thomas A. Corniea on July 14, 1953. She graduated from St. Louis Park High School and then traveled across the United States, settling in California. There she graduated from Fullerton College with her A.A. and Landscape - Horticulture Technician Certificate. An "Extrusion Guru" with Pillsbury, he was an avid fisherman, enjoyed tinkering with automobiles, and loved his dogs. A former jet mechanic, he served for nine years in the US Navy. Preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and Ira. Survived by sister, Linda DeMonte; brother, Michael D. Joyce Pykal (Erickson)
2016-07-10Joyce Lee Pykal of Cape Coral, Florida passed away unexpectedly in her home Sunday, July 10, 2016 after some recent health challenges. She was 62. Joyce was born July 25, 1953 in Minnesota; the beautiful daughter of the late Ralph and Louise Erickson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry David Pykal who died September 27, 2012. Joyce is survived by her son, David Lee Pykal of Cape Coral, Florida. Sally was a brilliant pianist and intellect who's life was cut far too short due to a long struggle with mental illness. When she was happy, we loved her loud, boisterous laugh which infected the room. We miss her.
