Karen Marie Bahl (Herrmann) was born on April 24th, 1952 in Waconia, MN to Leroy and Gladys Herrmann. She passed away suddenly on July 12, 2020 at the age of 67. She is preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by her husband of nearly 42 years, Tom Bahl and two loving sons, Dann Bahl and Mike (Niki) Bahl. She adored her grandchildren Gracyn and Gates. She is also survived by her two siblings Larry (Kay) Herrmann and Doris (Dale) Acton and her father in law Donald Bahl. She loved her extended family of brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews and her incredibly close-knit group of friends. Karen graduated from Saint Louis Park High School in 1971 and from Mankato State in 1975 after receiving a degree in Business Management. She loved sports, travel and great wine. She was a passionate Golden Gopher football and basketball fan having been a season ticket holder for nearly 40 years. She loved to travel the world with her friends and family. She was a long-time member of Lord of Life church in Maple Grove. The family plans to throw a party next year to celebrate her life. Additionally, once international travel becomes possible, the family will be traveling to the Mediterranean to spread her ashes. What a wonderful woman! Iconic in her smile and laugh! She was the quintessential cheerleader! Who would think she would be taken so soon? All my best to her family who love her!
