McElroy, Laurie Allison A 1971 graduate of St. Louis Park High School, died peacefully on Jan. 22, 2011 at age 57 after a brief illness. Preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Virginia (née Hanson), brother Hugh, sister Cathie Abrohams. Survived by aunt Marilyn Foster, uncle Carl Hanson, brother- in-law Richard Abrohams, close friend Jill Hartman, and many other family and friends. Laurie led a creative and imaginative life as a poet and befriended many cats and dogs during her brief sojourn. She will be missed for her talents, wit, caring, and thoughtfulness. A memorial celebration will be July 9, 2:00 pm at Lincoln Parc Apt., 12100 Singletree Lane (party room), Eden Prairie.
