Sullivan, Richard Glenn age 62, died mid-March, 2015 after a long struggle with the illness of alcoholism. Dick, born February 17, 1953, was the son of Glenn N. Sullivan and Betty Sullivan. Dick was raised in St. Louis Park, MN where he was a baseball player and an all-conference football player at SLP High School, graduating in 1971.

He went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in English in 1976. For many years he was employed in Minnesota as a sales rep for Glennco Sales where he combined his love of the outdoors with his business sense.

In recent years, he lived in Naples, Florida, near the ocean that he loved. Many of us remember summers at the cabin with Dick driving the boat while we water skied, then wowing us all with his barefoot water skiing. Dick was a gifted athlete, a talented artist, an avid sailor, an enthusiastic Vikings fan and a compassionate lover of animals, volunteering for several years at the Animal Humane Society. He was funny, affable, and kindhearted to family and friends alike and will be missed by many. Dick was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his sister Hannah Sullivan (Gerry Cook) of Bellingham, Washington, his former wife Janet Richardson Sullivan, Minneapolis, MN, his brothers Mike Sirr, Bozeman, MT and Steve Sirr, Plymouth, MN, step-siblings Bruce Newmann and Barbara Saint-Amour, both of Colorado, and nieces and nephews. Donations to Alcoholics Anonymous or the Humane Society. Memorial service to be held in Minnesota in June. Published on April 12, 2015
